BrainChip and HaiLa Join Forces to Advance Ultra-Low Power AI for IoT Sensors

BrainChip Holdings Ltd (ASX: BRN) has announced a strategic partnership with HaiLa Technologies to showcase a cutting-edge solution for ultra-low power edge AI connectivity. This collaboration aims to revolutionize IoT sensor a pplications across healthcare, environmental monitoring, and infrastructure management by optimizing compute, connectivity, and sensor intelligence for minimal power consumption.

The joint demonstration merges BrainChip’s Akida™ neuromorphic AI technology with HaiLa’s BSC2000 RFIC—an ultra-efficient backsca tter communication chip compatible with Wi-Fi. The result is a breakthrough system architecture capable of running continuously connected, battery-powered sensors that operate on microwatt s and can last the entire de vice lifetime on a single coin cell battery.

Both companies are working with OEMs and ecosystem partners to bring this power-conscious solution to market. The pairing enables real-time sensor intelligence for tasks like anomaly detection and predictive maintenance without compromising battery li fe—an ideal scenario for smart IoT deployments.

Steve Brightfield, CMO at BrainChip, emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating, “This collaboration illustrates how neuromorphic AI and next-gen wireless connectivity can drive practical, intelligent edge devices that consume minimal power.”

Patricia Bow er, VP of Product Management at HaiLa, added, “Our technologies together enable long-lasting, intelligent sensors—transformative for industries relying on real-time insights.”

Attendees can experience the joint demonstration at Sensors Converge 2025 in Santa Clara from June 24–26, where BrainChip will be at booth #919 and HaiLa at booth #738.
